steady progress

Work this week has been fairly steady, finishing up our last few shots on the chapel set, making sure we’ve got everything we need before resetting for the next scene. We did get the chance to shoot some quick lightning tests in preparation for a few stormy scenes next week, which is going to be fun!

testing out some thunderstorm techniques…

Not a lot of fresh things to show just now, so here’s couple of shots of a tiny boat from earlier in the shoot to tide you over until next week!

TEAM WORK

Meanwhile, in life outside the studio, here’s a few things that the gang have been working on…

JOSIE

Our superstar producer Josie has another kickstarter in the works! MORGANA is a documentary that follows the story of a woman who reinvents herself at 50 as a sex-positive pornstar. They’ve been getting a lot of great press, there’s a nice write up here on the Guardian:

And you can check out their kickstarter campaign here:

JOSH

We finished up early on Friday to head down to the Brooklyn Animation Block Party where a film that our our animator Josh worked on was screening. BARTLEBY is a beautiful stopmotion short (also funded through kickstarter) made by a very talented team. Was great to finally get a chance to watch it, and meet everyone involved. Keep an eye out for it at film festivals!
